Hi I am hoping someone can help me, I have a 17" envy laptop and the CPU fan has started to make a noise and needs to be replaced. I have been looking everywhere for a replacement fan for this laptop and so far I have not found one. I am reliant on this laptop for my daily work so I am reluctant to send it away for replacement and I am very competent in performing this task myself.
Can anyone advise me what CPU fan I need to source, part no etc?
Product No 2PJ44EA#ABU
Product Name HP Envy 17-ae1xx
Thank you very much for your time.

Regarding the parts sources, we can't help you with that -- you have to search online for places on your own.
Regarding the part number for the fan, see if you can use this tool to get it: HP PartSurfer
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Hi WAwood, thank you for your guidance, I don't seem to be able to qualify my exact model number as the part finder could not search by my serial number and the model number listed by the HP Support tool is incomplete stating HP ENVY Laptop 17-ae1xx. When searching for 17-ae1xx there are 10+ variants, fortunately they all have the same part number for the fan. There is no service tag label in this laptop which was purchased through PC World.
I know you cannot help with sourcing the parts but unfortunately for me it looks like the specific fan part number I need is not available anywhere in UK only USA, part no 925461-001.
Not impressed with this laptop to be honest, it has not compared in terms of build quality compared to the Dell 17" XPS it replaced (5+ years old and still working perfectly with much higher quality PSU)
I cannot fault your assistance which has been both prompt and useful.
