I replaced my laptop fans about 2 months ago, due to a vibrating noise which I assumed were loose bearings(?) after looking it up. However, each UEFI speed test fails. The new fans are clean inside and out (air compressed regularly once a month even with the old fans) and I made sure there are no other dust accumulation inside, but the test always fails.
During startup there is always a brief cracking noise with occasional static noise. I ruled out it being from the speakers since it doesn't get louder when I raise the volume. Temps are fine, but the brief cracking noise on startup is worrisome especially when I know the fans are new.
So far this is the only test that consistently fails, everything else checks out (storage, battery, memory, etc.)
CPU: 59C; GPU: 57C
Failure ID: GGQ97A-A9WBT8-MFPU3F-JFMA03
I don't understand what the failure ID entails. If this is in need of replacement again, could I be redirected to reliable sources of hardware as my warranty is expired?
