Hello everyone,
I received my new HP laptop yesterday, Im very happy with it. There is one problem though. Since the beginning the fans are going crazy, no matter what I am doing.
I checked the temperatures of the components and the fans. It says my GPU is 74 C and my CPU about 60. It also says Fan1 is spinning at 4400rpm and Fan2 is spinning at 108rpm? Its maybe also worth to mention that the fans are very inconsistent too. Most of the time its really loud, but then suddenly it calms down for 3 seconds and then it will be really loud again.
Does anyone have an idea on how I can atleast lower the fan noise justb a bit? Any input is much appreciated.
Sebastian

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I Understand the fan is either heating up or creating an excessive noise,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
Any recent hardware or software changes made to your PC?
That said, Did you know that Generally, when temperatures inside the case rise above 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), the risk of damaging important internal components increases greatly?
While you respond to that, Click here to see this video in full screen on YouTube to reduce Heat Inside the Laptop to Prevent Overheating, alternatively, you can Click here for step by step instructions.
Also, to resolve issues such as Fan is Noisy and Spins Constantly:
- Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
- Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
- Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
- Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
- Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use
