Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

My laptop's fan noise has increased a lot in the last few months. I did tried the following things and the situation is still the same:

  • cleaning up the fan
  • completely formatting the laptop (installing windows 10 64-bit again after removing all softwares)
  • replaced an old battery that had bulged
  • raised and kept the laptop at an angle for better air flow

I have basic usage with my laptop - my CPU usage is currently fluctuating between 2-10% right now. I'm not sure why my fan is spinning at such high speeds and generating this noise.

Can someone please tell me what is going wrong? I don't think its a driver/software issue since I just formatted my laptop. How do I check if its a hardware issue? or some other issue? Can this be fixed without replacing the fan.

Also, the same issue persists when I use it on my new battery. So its not because of AC voltage fluctuations I guess.

Regards,

Vaishnav
