Was just wondering if was me or if anyone else with this laptop has noticed the fan kicking in and being very loud when not doing an awful lot.

for example if I log into sky go app on the laptop and watch something within 1 or 2 mins the fan goes really loud and it’s distracting!

fan usually goes off it just browsing etc but surely there it shouldn’t be so loud My previous laptop was nothing like this. Any help would be much appreciated.

was wondering if any fan software which helps this or anything?

@Bailz,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the fan is making a loud noise.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the operating system you are using?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

Hi there,

thanks for the reply. The operating system I use is windows 10 that came with the device.

I updated drivers/Bios when got the laptop other week and re wrote and downloaded them again.

The fans are not constantly on to be fair it’s only usually when I use an app or play a game like football manager but then the fans can get really loud.

another thing I was wondering was how long should the battery last with light use, say watching video on Netflix etc? As mine seems to drain fairly quickly from the recommended time.

thanks again,
