Hello! I am wondering what people think I should do next. My laptop is experiencing an obvious fan problem, and it is making this dreaded noise when the fans spin up. I confirmed the issue through the HP diagnostics and found it to be fan 2 that is making all of the noise. After that I contacted HP chat support and then because my computer dual boots a linux distribution and windows, they will not help me with a hardware issue unless I contact their "premium support" that costs money, or if I remove ubuntu from my drive. Both of these options I am unwilling to do because they are both insane. The laptop is still under warranty, and this is why I am making HP fix their screw up with their fans.
documentation of the problem though a video
transcripts of the text chat that I had with HP support.

Hello! I ended up going to an HP authorized repair center (Best Buy) and they were able to fix the fan related problem for free. I have no doubts that you would have probably helped, although I think HP needs to have a conversation with their employees and deafferenting between hardware issues, and software issues. Uninstalling my Linux partition would have not helped whatsoever, yet I was given the option between that and paying for "premium support"
