Hi - I am trying to find out what fan part# I need to replace one that seems to be going out - I cannot find specs anywhere, or a manual to refer to, the part finder on HP's site does not recognize my model or serial #, I do not even know if my computer has one or two fans, or which one I would need to order, or both... the noise (as it tries to spin and then sputters) is coming from the top left area as I am typing, if that helps identify what I need - one video tutorial I found is a guide for replacing the "Right Fan", which let me know there may be two in my machine...I am trying figure out what I need without opening it up and taking things apart before I need to for the repair, can anyone help me with this?
Thank you
Amy

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 3 page 15 has the fan part number.
It appears you have to buy both fans as a kit.
Fan Kit: 907333-001
includes:
Heat sink fan
Rear fan
You can order the fan kit from HP at the link below.

Thank you, I found the info you linked, have downloaded the manual for ref, and see the part #, order form, etc -
Can you clarify something for me for any future parts needs - why is there never a reference to the 13-w0XX anywhere? Does the "XX" mean any/all numbers will work, or...?
Also, is there a reason the HP database does not recognize my serial #, model #, or product #?
Thank you, aa

The xx is a mathematical symbolization for literally "don't care". It means that any whole number can be possibly used.
To find information on a notebook model series like yours, simply replace the xx with two zeros.
You will need to use the system information dialogue to find the actual product number.
While logged into Windows, type the word system into the search box.
Double-click on the system information app that appears and then look in the list that appears for the Product number(SKU).
That specific Product number may be what you need when searching any HP database in reference to your notebook.
Try it in the HP PartSurfer app.
https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/
That will be the product number that refers to your notebook's configuration and the region of the world in which it is marketed.

You're very welcome, @amyalynx
I don't have anything further to add beyond what Erico has already let you know.
Your best bet is to enter the serial number of your notebook in the HP parts surfer website to get the exact details for your notebook.
