HP ENVY x360 15m-eu0 Convertible PC (267R7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Recently my Envy started bootinig up with the fans running constantly.  It is also slow and lagging.  Audio recording is impossible now because of the lag.  When I boot with WIN +V pressed I am told that CMOS is corrupt and it will be restored.  It reports that every time.  I ran an SFC /SCANNOW and that identifed correupt files and said they were repaired.  Still no change.

Today I accessed UEFI diagnostics.  All tests passed except the fan test.  I received this data in the log file.

Q35xHF-AN0BSN-GXGH5G-J5EJ03 CPU fan 1

Q35xHF-AN0BSN-GXGH5G-J5EW03 CPU fan 2

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with this machine?  Would a Software reset be useful?

Heat, heat, heat or fans do not work properly, in this case the cause most likely is due to BIOS. Please run BIOS update from

I’m afraid it’s not that simple.   I’ve already updated to BIOS F13.  All other drivers are also up to date.  There is not dust or dirt.  I’ve checked all these things.
