Hi, I'm new here so not sure if this is 100% in the right location.
Opened my laptop a couple of days ago and was presented with the message "Fixing ( C: ) Stage 1..."
This took a couple of hours and eventually started the computer.
A few days later (today) the computer crashes to a black screen with only the cursor visible (The cursor changed to a blue loading circle) and eventually around 1 or 2 hours later the screen to returned to how it was pre-crash. The computer then ran incredibly slow for the next 30 minutes or so before returning to normal?
Wondering if this is a sign of the hard drive failing or worse? Could anybody advise me on how I might best prepare? I'm currently thinking of buying a new hard drive, cloning the existing one to an external drive then recloning it back to the new hard drive?
I have included specs below.
Any help would be great as I am relying on this computer for work and currently feel like it could just stop working at any moment 😕
Many thanks, 92ishalfof99
