Product: Compaq Presario CQ62
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello everyone.

Recently I received a Compaq Presario CQ62 without a wireless card and the motherboard is dead. I don't know which kind of motherboard to choose because these CQ62 laptops came in various configurations. I wonder if somebody could tell me the correct Part Number for the motherboard and the wireless card so that I can easily replacing that.

Product: XZ199UA#ABA

Model: CQ62-423NR

Below is the parts list for that model.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

You will have to find the motherboard and wifi card on the secondary market.

 

When you buy the wifi card, make sure it has the HP part number showing on the card, or it will not work.

 

The BIOS locks out any card but the part number that originally came with the PC.

 

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
