Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to make a couple of upgrades for my older laptop.

It's a HP Omen 17 an0 something something. It's i5, with a samsung M.2 118gb plus what I think is a 1tb disk drive.

So far I can only find that it has a HP 8392 Mb, however finding any info on this seems impossible.

What I need to know is if it has a spare slot for another M.2 ?

Anyone able to advise?

@QtrWelsh

You have to find a NEWer series, SAME series does not have system boards with 2 M.2 SSD slot. I know the HP Omen 15-ek series does have 2 M.2 NVMe slott options. The Omen 17-ap series also has 2 M.2 NVMe slot and one 2.5 slot for storage.

Thankyou Banhien.

So assuming I just have the one M.2 slot, I think I will need an SSD enclosure and USB-C connection to clone the current SSD. Do you know if I can clone before switching over or does the new drive need to be put in before cloning?

Apologies, I am not that techy, trying to learn.:)

Thanks in advance.

I always clone before swap/put in. I used to clone HDD's/SSD's 10 or more times each year but not now.
