Fingerprint sensor

Hello, I am having some issues with the fingerprint sensor.  I just upgraded the BIOS software, hoping that would fix the problem.  It didn't.  The message says the sensor identification, after I place my finger down on it, doesn't recognize my fingerprint.  I then have to login with my password each time.   I set  the fingerprints up again in settings the next time logging in with 2 fingers.  I've had to reset it, but the reset doesn't seem to work.  Does anybody have any ideas what's going on?  I had a Windows computer before and didn't have any of these problems.
