Hi,

 

There was fire at my place last night. My laptop was near the fire so it has damage as per the picture below. Currently, it is still workable but I do not know if it is safe to use it. Really appreciate your advice.

First of all, I truly hope that you and everyone at your place are safe after the fire incident. That’s the most important thing right now.

 

Regarding your laptop, thank you for sharing the situation with us. Since the device has been exposed to fire and heat, There could be internal damage to components that isn’t visible from the outside. For your safety, I kindly ask that you do not switch on or use the laptop until it has been inspected by an HP service engineer.
