ZBook Firefly 14 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just purchased the above.....yesterday received unexplained HP message to flash Bios....on a brand new business laptop??? Sounded risky move, so called "support" who didn't seem to understand the issues & was difficult to understand, but after much referral, he said to ignore it, but couldn't really explain why....does this strike anyone else as appalling & unprofessional?

In the early days of product lifecycle it is not unusual for BIOS upgrades to be issued in pretty quick succession so not unusual at all that a new BIOS is issued between when the laptop is made and imaged and when you open the box and use it.

The newest is actually the 5th BIOS issued for your model:

The list of "fixes" for this latest BIOS is very long so I would advise doing the upgrade.
