I recently bought a Western Digital Blue SA510 SSD. I have a HP Model 14-fq0020nr laptop and am struggling to find a flex cable with SATA connector compatible with my laptop's SATA port.

HP Recommended

The notebook does not support 2.5" SATA SSD's.

 

The only drive that will work is a M.2 SATA SSD and you can't use it as a boot drive.

 

The notebook will only boot from the 64 GB eMMC flash storage drive.

If you look at chapter 3 of the service manual, you will find no parts to install a 2.5" drive.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

M.2 NVMe SSD's are not supported in the models with 64 GB eMMC drives.
