Envy Laptop 17-cr0xxx

System fully updated, including BIOS. Sometimes on startup I get a message from HP System Event Utility —

“For full performance, connect a higher capacity power adapter. Your computer will run in reduce performance “

I am using the original power adapter. this has been occurring for months. The battery charges to 100%. I’ll continue to ignore it.

Envy Laptop 17-cr0013dx

Since I wrote, I decided to try the other USB-C port and I have not seen that reported message. The USB-C ports are not labeled any different, so I have no idea why this should matter.

Device name Waynes_HP_ENVY
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1260P 2.10 GHz
Installed RAM 12.0 GB (11.7 GB usable)
Device ID 513363CD-9F10-4761-998F-DB8F7D404D99
Product ID 00342-22021-17831-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points

The laptop has always charged to 100%. If I see that message again and it still runs fine, I might just ignore it.

Thank you,

Wayne Scott

Since using the other USB-C port I have not seen that reported message. I don't know why this matters, but it's good enough.
