There was a starburst in the display of my brand new laptop. It was well within the warranty. Instead of just replacing the screen, HP's only solution was to send it off for who knows how long leaving me without a computer. After far too many conversations, they offered to buy it back, but for $400 less than what I paid. The computer had been used for 3 days. I agreed to that insane, unfair deal. I ordered a new laptop, but there was some confusion, as there always seems to be with this company, and my order was canceled. I went to order the same computer that was mistakenly canceled, and now it's $600 more than what I paid. I am now convinced that this whole company just scams people.
