Probook 650 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new Probook 650 G2 with Win 10.  Most of Fn function keys do not work,  Only keyboard brightness and volume are  currently working - so I know than the Fn key is enabled in BIOS.  I searched for new drivers and BIOS, but none seem applicable to my problem.  I have the same problem on 2 identical computers.

Hi, @RMCAP

The only suggestion I can offer would be to make sure you have installed the Hotkey support driver from your notebook's support page...

HP Hotkey Support

This package provides HP Hotkey support for special function keys on supported models that are running a supported operating system.

Hello @RMCAP,

Since you've implied that you haven't tried driver updates, I recommend these:

Intel Video Driver and Control Panel

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp87501-88000/sp87555.exe

AMD Video Drivers and Control Panel

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp85501-86000/sp85673.exe

Conexant HD Audio Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp87001-87500/sp87430.exe

Kind regards,

Eddy

That's true, but after running the driver search tool for updates, there were no suggestions for hotkey fixes or keyboard drivers.  I hesitate to randomely install the other available fixes which do not addres any probelms that I have.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Thanks @Paul_Tikkenen, that did the trick!  I'm surprised it did not come up in the list of drivers for my model.

You're very welcome.

As I replied yesterday, that file is right on your notebook's support page under the Software - Solutions section...
