So the usb-c port on my model actually supports DP 1.2 protocol and on Nvidia’s G-Sync requirements page it says “DisplayPort 1.2 directly from the GPU” should be available on the laptop, so if I connect my laptop with a g-sync monitor via an USB-C to DP Cable, will g-sync work?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
G-Sync manages both your graphics card and your monitor. For that reason, you need to at least have a G-Sync-compatible graphics card. You’ll also need to have a G-Sync-compatible monitor, but you don’t necessarily need a monitor produced by NVIDIA. Some gaming monitors are made compatible with G-Sync and have been validated by NVIDIA.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
