Hi! I was playing Fortnite at Epic Settings for about an hour and decided to check the temps. HP Omen Gaming Hub reported 85-86 at GPU core (Celsius), while GPU-Z reported max 87.2 and Hotspot average at 95, max at 98 (degrees Celsius). Now my question is: Is it really safe to use my HP Omen at temperatures like these? Will they damage my laptop?
I mean, it is not throttling. But I worry about the life of my laptop.
The CPU temperature is 91 all the time. It is the maximum temperature I noticed while gaming; I worry only about the GPU temperature...
Model: HP Omen 15-dc1085ur.; i7-9750H; GTX 1660 TI.
Thanks!

The CPU is too hot. The cooler for the both GPU and CPU is one assembly with two fans and heat from either chip affects the other.
Make sure the battery is fully charged before starting a game. Your laptop can overheat if it has to charge the battery at the same time as playing a game. Avoid any intensive games if not plugged in.
To mitigate the heat problem you should use a laptop cooler.
I recommend you keep the CPU out of turbo mode. Edit the power plan and set the maximum processor speed to %99 for when plugged in and a smaller value if just on batteries

If your Omen Game Hub is controlling the CPU and GPU fans it is doing a very poor job.

What I think about coolers is that I can't control them; Omen Gaming Hub is doing it, and there's no option to change it.
Also, I noticed that my battery lost 5 percent while gaming. Could this be the issue?
Thanks for the reply!
