HP ProDesk 400 G4 BM MT

Hi community members!

I am in trouble, need your support!

I got an HP ProDesk 400 G4  Base Model Microtower recently!

My ProDesk was in a good health, operating normally!

With the PC details below I thought 2 install ETS2 game just 4 fun.

  • CPU - i3 7th Gen
  • 1TB + 500GB HDD
  • 8 RAM (4 x 2)
  • Intel 630
  • 2GB Graphic memory
  • Installed OS: Win 10 Pro x64

Downloaded and installed on it, EuroTruck Simulator 2 (ETS2)

Played once installed! It ran for a minute and started with excessive ventilation and at the same time there was no video on the screen, the monitor went to sleep. The PC power led changed from white to red. It was blinking red 3 times with long beeps and 2 short beeps followed by a white LED.

It did not accept forced shutdown (by the button), I had to pull the cables out of the socket.

Then opened the case to check that, GPU was very hot, I waited for it to cool down and turned it back on and it didn't turn on and again the GPU was very hot.

It gave me the impression that the motherboard's GPU was gone!

After a few days, I got the idea of purchase and install an external graphic card on it!

Before do that, I would like to know the possibility of if I purchase an external graphics card and mount it, will my ProDesk work again? 0

Questions and Asks:

By your experiences, I would like to know about the possible diagnosis! If is the GPU or other component is dead?!

And the probability of the computer work again after installing an external graphic card!

Help me find a compatible video graphic card, I was looking for external graphic card on virtual shops, find one, check it Here

Than I was asking to me about the compatibility of this product with my board!

My motherboard has 3 slots named:

  1. X16PCIEXP (Black colour)
  2. X1PCIEXP (Black colour)
  3. X4PCIEXP (White colour)

Please, if you need use my HP Serial Product to  find more details about the product!

Sorry to write a journal, I am desperate need your help!

Regards!
