Hey there, I hope you are doing good!

I just have a quick question regarding the charger of my gaming laptop.

Is it normal for the charger of my laptop to overheat while plugged in when playing games that demand a lot of resources like Overwatch, Fortnite, Halo, etc? Normally heats up while charging my computer but when playing games gets hotter.

As well, any advice on how to avoid this we'll be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your help in advance

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

To get the answer to this question, when a laptop is plugged in and turned on, the adapter may be warm to the touch. A relatively warm power adapter is normal, especially when the laptop is in use while the battery is charging.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
