Hi, @GlennMc777

Since processors are integral parts of the motherboard, you can look up the processor specs and it will let you know the PCI express generation of the processor/NVMe slot.

For example:

Look up the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor on the AMD website.

AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900HX Mobile Processor| AMD

You will note that the PCIe is Generation 3.

That would mean the others would also be the same.

Hi:

The product number you posted provides no model number.

What model AMD processor does it have?

HP only has the service manual for the older 15-en0xxx models with the Ryzen 4xxx processors.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

The NVMe SSD slots are PCIe Gen 3 for the two processors listed in the above manual.

I can confirm this, my Omen has two m.2 slots and it will work with both in use. However, there seem to be problem with newer bios versions and some ssd's. My Corsair MP510 ssd was working on F.10 but F.13 or F.20 won't recognize my  second ssd. And now I am stranded in F.20 as the bios won't allow a downgrade for some reason.

Thanks, that is some good info.
