Dear Forum,
I am desperate for a download site for pointing device PS/2 Driver v 19.0.15.2 for my HP Mini that runs fine on Windows 10 Anniversary (1607). I had the original mouse driver from HP, then Windows update replaced it with version 19 but I had problems scrolling and uninstalled/deleted version 19 and now cannot get it back. I am running on a generic MS mouse driver without scrolling now but would like to get the generic Synaptics driver v 19 back. Synaptics no longer offers drivers (no page) on their site.
Any helpwould be much appreciated, I know HP no longer supports the Mini after W7 but I am doing OK on Windows 10 for several years now (only Windows 1607 as 1703 is not compatible with the Atom processors).
Thanks
Found an even better driver at: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=windows+10+touchpad+driver

Thanks Riddle for the quick response.
The 2010 device I am using is completely out of date and no longer supported by anyone, the only reason I don't buy a new laptop yet is because of the Windows 10 compatibility hardware issues and forced OS upgrades by MS. Having said that my Hp Mini is running like a charm on Windows 10 32 bit Anniversary Home (1607) after some tweaking like the generic Synaptics mouse driver I just found (see original message above). I can scroll now with two fingers and also right section (one finger) in all W10 apps including Edge and my external HID MS mouse when connected works perfect too with this new touchpad driver (no issues). Here are the details of the generic Synaptics driver I just downloaded and tested:

Hello AFW.
I am glad that you could solve your problem with the Synaptics touchpad and that is why I have a feeling that you can help me.
Background -
I am using Windows 10 1803 on a netbook (not manufactured by HP) which has exactly same specs as your HP Mini (Atom N270 with 2GB RAM) and I too am disappointed that Windows updates have removed my working Synaptics driver which was provided by my manufacturer for Windows 7.
Problem -
As you mentioned in your previous message, I tried searching the windows update catalog for Synaptics PS/2 touchpad driver.
@AFWFound an even better driver at: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=windows+10+touchpad+driver
However, whenever I download any of the latest driver from there, it does not get accepted by Windows and it keeps using the PS/2 compatible mouse driver which has no scrolling and gesture support at all.
Then, I also tried the driver version which you mentioned here.
@AFW
However, when I download and extract the cabinet file and run the installer, it says that "This app can't run on your PC." and the Device Manager update dialog also doesn't find any suitable driver in that folder.
Do you have any suggestions as to what can I try? (Because it is really tough to use a touchpad without scrolling gestures)
Also, I would like to mention that the Windows 7 touchpad driver provided by my netbook's manufacturer (Synaptics v14) is so old that two finger scrolling didn't even exist back then. And the edge scrolling does not work in any UWP applications on Windows 10. (Moreover, that driver does not even work in Windows 10 since the Creators' update)
And, I had another doubt regarding what you had written in your initial post.
(only Windows 1607 as 1703 is not compatible with the Atom processors)
What do you mean by "1703 is not compatible with Atom processors" ?
I saw the Windows 10 1703 changelog on Wikipedia and it says that
Devices containing an Intel Atom "Clover Trail" system-on-chip are incompatible with Version 1703, and cannot be upgraded to this version of Windows 10.
But the netbook that you and I are using don't have an Intel SoC chip. We have got full fledged microprocessors and Windows 10 still supports them even on the latest build of Windows. So, why don't you upgrade?
UPDATE: This update on the Microsoft Update Catalog worked for me. It lets me scroll in all UWP and Win32 apps.
