I have a refurbished 15” with a ryzen 7 4700. Bought onn9/1/2021 It just died. It shows no power on the indicator by the plug. Tried different power adapters.
geek squad says motherboard. A local here in Hot springs AR, 71913, says the same. Neither say it’s repairable.
I called the approved hp service center. The same reply. They can’t fix it.
square trade wants a letter saying the problem
and a solution. I told them its unrepairable.
I thought despite warranty work u could send it back to HP and get it repaired. Customer service is right there Jeff Epstein survival skills. None.
what do I do. I am grateful for any advice from a. Human. Thank u in advance.

What you need is an electronics technician who knows PC system board circuits.
One who can use a multimeter and an IR microscope to see which component(s) have failed or shorted.
If you are trying to get warranty through Square Trade and need some type of letter, I suggest going to Geek Squad or the PC repair certified letter and pay them to provide the written estimate. Let them know it must state there is an non reparable condition in the written estimate.
This is how laptops can be repaired by a real Technician
