15-cb060sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a sort of weird situation, I upgraded my 15-cb060sa with another 8gb stick of ram and a m.2 ssd, I did some dusting too but now my pc won't boot properly. It blue screens me and when I try to boot again it gives me 090d which I believe is overheating. When I do try to boot the fans spin up really fast until the pc shuts down due to the overheating. I can boot up to windows if I go to system diagnostics and start a memory test, then cancel, the fans stop spinning up so fast but when I log into windows my 1050 gpu isn't there. I tried a cmos clear but the problem persists. I had no overheating problems before hand, obviously the fans and heatsink are clean so maybe it could be a sensor problem? Any ideas are welcome and thank you for any replies.

@realmofgeorge

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is not booting to Windows and the fan is spinning continuously.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you tried to boot with the original hard drive on the computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you restore the BIOS defaults following the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, then update the BIOS and graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp106001-106500/sp106010.exe

Graphics: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-power-15-cb000-laptop-pc/15551388/model...

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
