HP Pavilion 15-ab129nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a help because my grafic card gives me some problems (it's an AMD Radeon R7 M360).

I'm using an HP Pavilion 15-ab129nl and if I go into he device manager on the grafic card, the error 43 appears, and it say "the device reported a problem and was interrupted".

In fact for example I can't regulate the brightness of the screen and a 3D software doesn't run saying " Hardware acceleration is unsupported or has been disabled on your graphics card. SketchUp requires that you use a hardware accelerated graphics card".

I have tried to download the drivers updates both from HP and from the AMD sites, but when I update them the PC crashes.

Do anyone have a suggestion?

Thank you so much!!

Hi@Jack_97,

Thanks for engaging in the HP support community! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand that you need assistance with the  Graphics Display Adapter Error Code 43notebook. I’ll be glad to assist you with this.

In the Device Manager, the AMB Graphics listed underneath the Display Adapter shows a yellow bang.

Double-clicking on the Intel graphics controller shows the following error in Device status: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Error Code 43 can be caused by hardware problems or driver or settings corruption. To address this issue, we recommend performing a clean install of latest graphics drivers provided by the system manufacturer since these drivers are customized.

To perform a clean install of the graphics driver, follow these steps:

  1. Disconnect from the internet to make sure the driver will not be automatically updated by Windows.
  2. Uninstall both the Intel Graphics driver and the Intel Display audio driver. To do this, please follow the steps on the link below under these sections:
  3. Restart the computer.
  4. Right-click the Windows Start button. Select Device Manager.
  5. If no older drivers are stored in the system, the graphics controller in Device Manager should now be listed as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter', 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter' or similar. If not, repeat step 2. Repeat the process until it is listed as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter'.
  6. Install the latest graphics driver provided by the system manufacturer.
  7. Once the latest driver has been installed, enable the internet connection again.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @praveenbv,

thanks for your answer!

Unfortunately it doesn't work.

In the first attempt I forgot to disconnect from internet the PC, and meanwhile it was installing the lastest drivers, the blue screen of death appears and the PC was automatically restarted without install any drivers.

In the second attempt with the PC disconnected, when I was installing the lastest graphics driver a warning appears and say "we notice that the driver of the display was not load into the system in use".

Than it asks me if I want to report this bug to AMD, and it require a restart of the PC. Once restarted, the yellow bang appears again and also the error code 43.

So nothing changed from the starting point.

I really hope that it is not an hardware problem..

Do you have any other suggestion? Thank you so much for your willingness!

@Jack_97,

Try using the AMD Auto detect Tool
