You're very welcome.
Yes, it will be fine.
The DDR3 memory on the graphics card will work fine with the DDR2 memory on the PC's motherboard.
I used to also wonder...is this a problem? Should the video card have the same memory type as the PC?
The answer is no, it does not need to be the same.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
I have the AMD Radeon HD 6570 in my dc7800 CMT. It has worked just fine for years.
That card also has DDR3 memory.
Two things I forgot to mention...
1. Before you install your new graphics card, it is important to go into the device manager, click to expand the display adapters device manager category, right click on the Intel graphics adapter listed there, select uninstall and if there is an uninstall driver box to check, check that box. Once the device is uninstalled, shut down, unplug the PC and install your new video card.
2. Since most video cards have HDMI ports on them, such as the HD 6450, after you install it, you will lose the onboard audio on the dc7800. That is because the BIOS' on our old dc7800's did not know the difference between adding a sound card and adding a video card with an onboard HDMI audio chip.
So not only does it disable the onboard video, it also disables the onboard audio, thinking that you installed a sound card.
The solution to getting the onboard audio back is simple.
After you install the amd graphics driver for your video card, restart the PC, tap the F10 key to get into the BIOS.
Go to the advanced section, Device Options menu, find the onboard audio setting. It will be set to Disabled.
Change the setting to enabled. Save the setting where you made the change, and again when you exit the BIOS.
Upon restart and returning to Windows, the onboard audio will be restored.

Enjoy your new video card.
BTW, with the AMD video card, your dc7800 can run W10 just fine if you ever want to install W10.
You can use the W7 soundmax audio driver and the W7 drivers for any other devices that W10 doesn't install.
