Hi Experts, I had a hard disk crash for a laptop i have been using for last 10 years. The laptop model is "HP Pavilion dm4-3055dx Entertainment Notebook PC". I have taken back up and ordered a new SDD for laptop. But i dont have the OS installation CD or product key to activate it. It had Windows 7 in it when i orignally bought it. How do i get my product key or install my OS in new hard disk ? Please suggest.

Unfortunately, I don't have a link you can use to download Win7 as HP does not carry that recovery media anymore.
As to the product key, you MIGHT be able to retrieve it using this tool, but I have not tried that: ShowKeyPlus - Windows 10 Forums
You would have to create Windows bootable media, boot into Windows, insert a USB stick containing that tool, and run it -- to see if it works.

Unfortunately, HP keeps no records of individual Product Keys for individual PCs, so there's no key we can provide you.
The key is also usually printed on a sticker which, on older PCs, is usually inside the battery compartment. See if you can find it there. IF not, then report that back.

Thanks for Replying, I did not find the sticker in the battery slot. But i do see a sticker behind the laptop which has windows symbol, but information on it is completely erased. Is there any chance i can get the keys back ?

Thanks a lo for the software you mentioned. It helped me get a product ID and installed Key of my OS. Can you also assist me with Windows 7 Home premium downloadable link so that i can make it a bootable OS in my USB ?
