Hi! So I bought this new laptop with the intention of adding a SSD as the primary drive (OS, heavy software/apps, etc). It came with a WDC WD10JPVX-60JC3T1 of 1 TB with Windows 10 Home x64. I read on its guide that it can have configured a 1 TB HDD + SATA III 256 GB SSD, so I want to buy this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073SBV3XX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
I've read the guide and it says something about using a bracket and other accessory to put the M.2 SSD.
I disassembled it but I'm not sure of where the M.2 slot is located
So my doubts are:
Where can I locate the M.2 slot?
Do I need extra things to install the M.2 SSD on the board?
Is the 3D NAND 250GB PC SSD SATA III 6 Gb/s M.2 2280 compatible with my laptop?
Thanks in advance!

Here is the Service manual:
We do not have your exact model number so do not know your specifications. Look carefully at page 3. Only models with 6th and 7th gen Intel Core processors have dual storage capability. Celeron and Pentium models do not so if you have a Pentium or Celeron processor there is no M.2 slot. Assuming you have an i3, i5, or i7 processor, then the M.2 slot is as shown on p. 59 of the Manual:
screw and slot are circled
If you have a Pentium or Celeron you will not have these circled features on the motherboard. In that case the only way to have an M.2 disk is INSTEAD OF the hard drive by using an M.2 adapter plate and cable. Assuming you have the slot, the WD Blue M.2 SSD would be a good choice and will work fine.
Hope that is clear, post back with any other questions but please Accept as Solution if this is your answer.

Hey, Huffer. Thanks for the fast response. Other data of this device includes LAPTOP HP 15-BS053OD Product Number 1TJ86UA, 15.6" Screen, I7-7500U 1 2.7 GHZ , 6GB DDR4 MEMORY.
I’ll try locating the M.2 slot as you told me.
