Hello,
I'm looking for a new HDD connection cable for my laptop. The user manual recommends the 603676-001 hardware kit. Unfortunately, I can't find it in the HP parts store. My search results on eBay and Amazon were also unsuccessful. Where else can I get something like that? Or an alternative?
Many thanks
Regards
Oliver

Normally HP does not stock older parts, you have to search elsewhere such as
https://www.ebay.com/itm/265677959197

Thanks for the quick reply.
This hardware kit is very expensive. I'm now trying an alternative option.
For this i need the user manual for my Pavilion dv6-3160eg laptop.
But unfortunately I can't find it at HP Website either because the support period has expired. Unbelievable.
Is the Pavilion dv6-3100 roughly the same? I found instructions for it on Google.
The HP Virtual Assistant gave me this link for it:
But i only get an "page not found" error there.
I want to check the manual to see if my laptop has an eSata connection with power, so that I can connect an external SSD hard drive. This should also work to boot the operating system. This means I no longer need the internal hard drive.
Is the SSD on the eSata Port just as fast as the internal one?
Thanks for the help
Regards
Oliver

@Banhien
I know that this link is broken. I wrote it in my post above. But that is not the problem.
I am looking for a manual for my laptop pavilion dv6-3160eg or for an equivalent laptop.
I want to know if my laptop has a normal eSATA port or an eSATA port, i.e. one with power, so that I can connect an external SATA SSD and no longer need the internal HDD. Is that possible? Can i also boot an operating system from an external hard drive?
Regards
Oliver
