I could not find your exact product number but on the 11-ad1xxx series there is a single memory slot. Intel Core models use DDR4-2666 downclocking the -2400 and the Manual says 8 gb is the max but a single 16 gb module would work. Pentium and Celeron models are DDR3L-1600 and 8 gb would be the maximum. There is no hardware limit on the capacity of the ultra-thin (7mm) 2.5 inch wide SATA HDD or SSD you can use. If you are going to replace the hard drive I strongly recommend you install a 2.5 inch SSD as a performance upgrade. Drop in replacement. 2 TBs widely available.
