My laptop came with a SSD Drive and i would like to replace it with a SATA SSD drive that i currently have.  I need to purchase the HDD drive cable and SATA cable but cannot find a source anywhere.

@GT207

The following link shows its specs

     https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06175797

It has  128 GB M.2 SSD therefore you can ADD (not replace) your 2.5" SSD to its HDD Bay/slot and you have more room for your machine. You need

   Hard drive cable part # L23187-001
   Hard drive bracket part # L24490-001

Parts with prefix L are new and very hard to find as shown

    http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L23187-001

But you can ask an HP Authorized Service Provider parts to order and/or work out for you.

Regards.

Hi,

The best idea would be to upgrade the M2 drive in your notebook to a larger capacity M2 SSD (no limit to capacity). As @banhien states the HDD cable is nearly impossible to find.

It supports M2 SATA3 SSD and also much faster PCIe NVMe SSD.

Hope it helps,

David
