Hi,

Basically, you can use any 2.5" SATA3 HDD (max 2TB because of the thickness of drive)

Example:

https://www.amazon.in/Seagate-Laptop-2-5-Inch-Internal-ST1000LM048/dp/B01LY3Q201/ref=sr_1_3?keywords...

you could also opt for a 2.5" SSD which would give a great boost to everyday performance (more expensive)

Example:

https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-MX500-500GB-2-5-inch-SSD/dp/B0786QNS9B/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=2.5+ssd&qid...

On page 105 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the drive

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you for responding.

The is also another one -

Seagate Barracuda Mobile Hard Drive 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 128MB Cache 2.5-Inch 7mm - Frustration-Free Packaging (ST1000LM048).

https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07H28QRKN/ref=psdc_1375369031_t1_B01LY3Q201.

Will this suit?

or should I opt for the HDD you suggested in the previous post?

Hi,

Yes, that will work well (I believe it is the newer model of drive).

Let me know if you need further help,

David
