Pavilion 15-bs661tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently bought Pavilion 15-bs661tx. I mostly use it for work and light gaming. But I've found the laptop to be laggy and the read/write speeds to be slow. I was wondering if I could replace my Hdd with an SSD and if I could upgrade my RAM too. Here are some questions that I have. Any answer would massively help me decide on my future course of action.

1) I don't really know the type of SSD to buy(M2 or SATA) The manual is too generic and doesn't mention anything about the drive.

2) Also should I completely change my hard drive from HDD to SSD or only buy a smaller SSD as boot drive.(I don't know if this model supports dual drive)

3) Presently my laptop's RAM is 8 GB PC4-17000 DDR4-2133. I'm aware that it has 2 SODIMM Slots so can I just put in a faster 8GB DDR4-2400 or not in the other slot? Or do I have to change both cards to DDR4-2400 to make it work?

Any Replies to solve these issues are greatly appreciated.

Its specs

1. For RAM: It has 8GB on 1 slot now, you can add 8GB to slot 2 using the following compatible RAM

      https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-15-bs661tx/CT11641787

2. For M.2 SSD: Looks like it does not have M.2 slot, the chance is 50/50

3. For SSD: You can replace  normal 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA with a 2.5" SSD, 1TB or 2TB using compatible SSD from Crucial or Samsung. For example
