Hi , I am using HP 2000 - 2d04tu laptop I want to upgrade its HHD to SSD but I could not see any details which SSD it will support. I am intrested in below SSD's, please let me know which one will work with my laptop?

That is interesting.  I assume the caddy will fit in the DVD/CD drive place with no problem.  IMHO, I think the original idea to get a 500GB SSD would be better.  A 250GB might not be big enough, but it is your choice.

It might be a better idea to just put the SSD in the caddy and it would save some work, just an idea.

Let us know how this works out.

The first link did not work for me but the second one reveals a WD SATA that would be a direct replacement for the existing HDD.  It might require an mounting adapter but most likely not.

Here is the manual for that model PC

The hard drive replacement is on page 53 and following.

I want to replace 500GB HHD with 240GB SSD and also want to use a caddy for 500GB HDD. After some research, I found one SSD and caddy which are in my budget
