I'm looking to upgrade the hard drive in my daughters laptop. Does the 15-cn0008ca have a m.2 slot.

Can't find the specs on the HP site.

The parts list for the 15-cn0008ca indicates that it already comes with a 256 GB NVMe SSD:

 

HP PartSurfer

 

L19453-001
SSD 256GB 2280 PCIe NVMe Value GL

 

You can install a larger capacity NVMe drive or maybe one that may be a bit faster such as a Crucial P3 PCIe Gen 3.0.

 

Here's the 500 GB model, for example.

 

Crucial P3 500GB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 3500MB/s - CT500P3SSD8 : Amazon.ca: Electroni...

 

A SSD listed as 'Value' is one that has average performance.

 

The parts list indicates the notebook comes with 1 x 8 GB of memory.

 

You may want to consider installing a second 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot.
