Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15t-dr100 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

External monitor connected via HDMI is not detected today. Worked a few days ago. Also had same problem a few months ago. Previous problem after upgrading to Windows 11 from 10. Previously solved by running Windows Updates and BIOs updates.

Attempted Fixes today:

  • I ran Windows Updates installed, restarted.
  • Found firmware update that updated the BIOs, ran, restarted.
  • Went to Device Manager, Display Adapters, right clicked to run updates for both drivers. No new drivers found. 
  • Tried hard reboot.
  • Unplugged HMDI, unplugged monitor many times.
  • Replaced HDMI with brand new HDMI cord.
  • Tested that HP Monitor and HDMI works on other HP Laptop

What other actions can I take to have the HDMI port work again with an external monitor?
