HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1711ng

Hello everybody, I am new in this forum und hope you can help me.

We have two Notebooks Spectre X360.

With Windows 10 a projector connected to the HDMI-Port worked fine, since the upgrade to Windows 11 we get no picture any more. The same issue is when we connect to a TV set.

For my understanding software and drivers are up to date.

Would be great if I can get a solution for the problem. Thank you and regards, Alfi3

Hi @Alfi3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There are a few possible reasons why the HDMI port is not working after upgrading to Windows 11. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check for driver updates: Go to the manufacturer's website and check if there are any updated drivers available for your graphics card. If there are, download and install them.
  • Check device manager: Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager. Expand the Display Adapters category and check if there are any yellow exclamation marks next to your graphics card. If there are, right-click on the graphics card and select Update Driver.
  • Check display settings: Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings. Make sure the correct display is selected and that the resolution and refresh rate are set correctly.
  • Check HDMI cable and connection: Ensure that the HDMI cable is properly connected to both the computer and the display. Try using a different HDMI cable or port to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Rollback the update: If none of the above steps work, you may need to consider rolling back the Windows 11 update to the previous version of Windows.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
