HINGE BROKEN (1 YEAR OUT OF WARRANTY) WHY DOES HP NOT OFFER FREE REPAIR FOR THIS VERY COMMON DEFECT

As with so many other customers, I'm 1 year out of warranty, conveniently that's when things break. The left hinge is broken on my HP Envy X360, the laptop cost £1000, how can this problem keep happening for people on such expensive HP laptops! There's no way I can afford to get this fixed, a £1000 laptop defect in under 2 years, but old laptops of different brands last many years have no problem, only expensive HP laptops have this problem, and conveniently things break when just out of warranty. I need help with this please, I do all my work on this laptop, I can't afford repair 😞 This shouldn't keep happening with HP expensive laptops.
