hI. A while ago I brought this very same issue: some keys got broken, and the only help I found came from users in this forum, which I truly appreciate. Basically, a couple of users advised me to check some HP authorized services in Miami, Florida, to no avail. They did not care to answer my emails. Now, I am in Argentina, so the prospects of getting some useful help from HP Argentina are almost null.
Take a look at the pictures. Look at how some keys got deteriorated after less than three years, when I purchased this notebook directly from HP. As for Key A ,I purchased a replacement from en independent dealer, but it never worked correctly. Now, in addition to A, key N got broken and you can tell by the pictures that letters C, S, O, M, and >are on their way to become unusable too.
Is it acceptable that only after three years the keys get so deteriorated and not usable?
At this stage I am looking to replace all the keys (but of a different type), because it is more than evident that the factory-installed keyboard is just hopeless. Maybe this time someone at HP (USA or Argentina) customer service will be sympathetic and write some good piece of advice about where to get a replacement for this nightmare. Still, if some user of the forum wishes to provide his or her input, it will be more than welcome. Thanks
