That means your machine does NOT have WWAN card to support SIM card, that why the SIM card slot of tour machine has a plastic plug to block you to access it. If you wish you have to open your machine
1. Install new frame with WWAN antennas,
2. Install a supported WWAN card,
3. Push the plastic plug out (from inside),
4. Install part(s) for connecting SIM
Now you should be able to use SIM card.
