It is upgradeable. You need to remove the bottom cover.
See page 43. Do you already have it or looking to buy it? If you have not purchased it yet I hate to knock an HP product but look for another model with a bit more processor power. This has the E1-6015 AMD CPU which is less powerful than a lot of tablet and cell phone processors.

Upon opening of this specific model in discussion, I don't see any DIMM slot to even attempt to upgrade the memory. Entered from the bottom as instructed, and I see nothing. I even practically removed the board to peak under and see if there was a slot there. Nothing. Attempted to check maybe under the keys somewhere? but the keys are inside the frame (MacBook style) and I don't see any way of peeling the top open.
If it was non upgradeable or an onboard type of memory, it would state that in the product specifications. But it does not.
Any thoughts?
And thank you for the knowledge.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand you want to know where to buy the RAM upgrade for the HP 14-af110nr,
Thank you for providing such details that help me get right to the point, rather than probing for more information, I appreciate it.
Buying memory:
HP recommends purchasing memory directly from HP, an authorised HP dealer, or from a reputable computer parts supplier.
You can purchase computer memory from most local electronic stores and online shopping sites such as Crucial or HP , for example. Many of the online sites partner with HP to automatically suggest the correct type of memory based on the model of your computer. Before purchasing memory, make sure you know how much memory you need and what type of memory is compatible with your computer.
