Hello Team,

I'm Planning to upgrade the RAM to 16GB and add SSD along with HDD. Help me clarify below points

1. Till How Much RAM I can extend in this model? If it is 16GB , can I put it as single 16GB or split it as 8*2, which is better option?

2. Does this model have M.2 Slot? If yes, which should be opted , SATA SSD's or NVMe!!?

3. Which MHZ ram is better suited for this model? I see 2133MHZ ,2400MHZ, 2666MHZ, 2933MHZ etc. , which should be opted?

Also I hear from many that If we add two rams we should maintain the same frequencies else it will hamper the system performance. Is this true?

Share few compatible products for both ram and SSD which will help to get better idea

Thanks,

Dinesh

The maximum is 16 GB. Use two guaranteed compatible memory modules. It is the better option.

I have seen upgrades with your notebook with 2.5"  and M.2 format SSD products

Memory modules need to be DDR4-2400. If you install DR 3200 the modules will downclock to 2400 Mhz.

Crucial Memory does sell their products in your region of the worl;d

Take a look at this thread discussing the very same notebook as yours.

Hi Erik,

Thanks for your inputs. Based on your suggestion, I'm going ahead with below options

Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SATA M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-N6E250)

Crucial 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 SODIMM

Thanks,

Dinesh
