We need the driver from the 128 GB installation. Otherwise it can hours to find all the drivers. Rightclick on "Start" and select "Windows Terminal (Administrator)"
If you have an external drive like a second USB-Stick you can use that as well. But create a folder. Later you have to use the path to the folder in the pnputil-command.

OK, that's different from WIN 10 commands in PowerShell
So you can use cmd (Run as administrator:
dism /online /export-driver /destination:C:\HP_Driver
I checked that in WIN 11 and it works.
(just copy&paste)
(In the next step make sure that you unzip the par.zip first, before you copy it to the USB-Stick)

OK, that worked. I now have the drivers in C:\HP_Driver on the old 128GB drive
I unzipped Par.zip and copied Par.txt file to USB installation
Before proceeding I want to confirm I have the right config.
Installed is my new 500GB drive which has the original cloned version of the old drive on it.
attached via enclosure USB is my old drive
of course the installation USB is also attached
the USB drive is "E"
I have executed the diskpart /s E:\Par.txt successfully and exited
I am now at the "Windows Install Now" screen
Does your instruction "and continue your setup" mean to begin install?

OK. Perfect. Now you continue your setup till you come to the "page" where you select the drive to install Windows. Here you just select the 128 GB Partition. That's it!
You don't have to attach the old drive during installation! Only the USB-Installation disk.
But it doesn't matter if you make a mistake, because you always can begin whith the setup steps again.
In the end you have 2 Partitions.
1 for Windows and 1 for your files and data.
Good Luck

Ok so it completed however its a new installation of windows. It did not load my apps like MS office etc., how do I get those? Do I leave the Old drive enclosure via USB connected?

Keep the old drive connected. We need that for the driver-import.
But you should go online first, in order to get your new Windows activated and registered.
Can you post a pic from the diskmanagement. I want to be sure that everything went well.

Perfect! Good job! When it's ready just reboot.
Run these 2 commands in cmd (admin)
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
These 2 commands check the system files and correct any corruption
copy&paste

Its still loading the drivers
looking to the next steps your earlier instructions said
pnputil /add-driver "X:\HP_Driver\*.inf" /subdirs /install /reboot
Within 2 or 3 minutes all your drivers are installed!
"When all that is ready it's time to change the default folder path of your personal files to the D-Partition
For that you need 2 steps.
The guide follows when you are ready"
Should this be done before reboot?
Should I do this before reboot?
