Hi everyone,
First post here... I have been racking my brain trying to find out the answer to this question:
I have an HP 14-fq0041nr Laptop. It comes with just a 64GB SSD which doesnt hold much. I am trying to see if it's possible to add an additional 2.5" hard drive. When I open the case, there is a specific spot for the exact 2.5" hard drive I am trying to use. It fits right in there. My only question is, which cable do I use to attach it to the motherboard? It is a SATA hard drive, so I know one end of the adapter would need to be SATA, I just am unsure of what the other end would have to be.
Does anyone have any experience with this?

Oh yes. Here is the Service Manual:
There is no way to connect an additional SATA hard drive or SSD. The only storage options on that model series are an NVME M.2 SSD or an eMMC module that is soldered to the motherboard. You have the latter. Unclear from the Manual whether the models with the 64 gig eMMC have an M.2 slot. See p. 32. If you have an M.2 slot it is just above the area where you thought you could install a 2.5 inch drive. If you have the slot you might be able to add an M.2 SSD but I believe the motherboards with the eMMC module soldered on do not have an M.2 slot. Let us know. Thanks.
