Greetings
I found an HP 15-BA009DX for sale but the keyboard doesn't work correctly. I found a few videos showing how to change the keyboard it but there seem to be 2 types one in wich the keyboard can be removed and another in wich the keyboard and palmrest are one. After searching I see both being sold the complete top and also the keys only for this model. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the keyboard only in this model ? If not I will have to get complete palmrest/kb combo wich can be very expensive. I will have to add it to the cost of the laptop it might turn out cheaper to just get a used model in wich everything works.
Thanks

Here is the Service Manual:
See Item 2 on the parts list. Your model is definitely one where HP only "spares" the keyboard as part of the whole top cover.
Also see p. 75:
The top cover/keyboard spare part remains after all other spare parts have been removed
In other words, in order to replace the top cover/keyboard you completely disassemble the laptop and then add parts back onto the replacement top cover. So you see no instructions to just replace it.
You will find sellers on eBay and such who offer just the keyboard. They have managed to get hold of the keyboard part that HP adds into the top cover at the factory. What the sellers do not tell you is that it is very hard to get a new keyboard reintegrated into the top cover. It is not easily removeable with a couple screws. It is bolted and welded in with plastic rivets. The few people who have reported trying to do this were not able to get it rebuilt as well as they would have liked. You will not find any instructions in the Manual for putting the keyboard into the top cover but there are Youtube videos if you look hard enough.
Sorry I did not have better news, but post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
