Dear support,
I would like to replace the Hard drive disk on my laptop to put a SSD Disk instead.
The problem is that I'm struggling to disassemble it and get to the disk.
Could you please refer me to a documentation or procedure ?
I remove all the screws including this of the DVD/CD drive, but I cannot get further. I'm wondering if there are additional screws hidden under the 2 rubbers at the hinges level ?
Thanks very much in advance.
KR,
Samuel Galiez

Hallo again,
Its a glue where is under the rubber but you will need to remove this two rubber bumpers to get the 2 screws under them before you can get the base cover off.
I think HP will send you the same guide as I did since it's the repair centers service guide.
But you can ofcourse try and contact them
Heres the link for the phone number. Take your country and give them a call.

I did read this doc, but I have some doubts as to whether it applies to my model.
Indeed, the 2 rubber bumpers seem to be strongly pasted to the plastic and I do not dare force it.

Unfortunately it doesn't.
Among other things, The keyboard cannot be removed this way, it's inside the shell, only the keys stick out from the shell.
Besides, there are no rubber bumpers to be removed on the device shown in this video.
I just acquire my laptop and I do not want to damage it.
I spent some time on YouTube searching something like my laptop but without success unfortunately.
I assume HP should be able to provide me with the documentation intended to my machine, shouldn't they?
Thanks for your help
Samuel
