HP Notebook - 15-db0138ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good day.

Can't find any information about SSD M.2 supporting by my notebook. Does anybody know if my HP 15-db0138ur have M.2 socket?

Also I would like to install 8 Gb RAM instead of 4 Gb (DDR4-1866). Notebook has 1 memory slot, am I right? What maximum frequency does it support?

Hi,

The notebook only has one RAM slot and supports max 8GB of DDR4 1866MHz RAM. You can insert faster RAM which will then run at 1866MHz.

Example

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-db0138ur#memory

On page 43 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the RAM

I believe the notebook does not have an M2 slot. You can replace the 2.5" SATA3 Hard Drive with a 2,5" SATA3 SSD. However, you could remove the bottom cover and take a look if the M2 slot is there

On page 39 of the service manual, you can see the steps to remove the bottom cover
