Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Just purchased a 15-dy2xxx laptop and have an older Dell K17A docking station that I have used for years prior. I was wondering if there is a compatibly here as the dock is USB-C and the laptop has a single port.

What is your 15-dy2xxx machine ? For example

 

               HP Laptop 15-dy2093dx

 

Your machine should have same 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which is definitely won't compatible with your Dell K17A dock. You won't get video out.

 

You can connect to USB-C docks but as mentioned above: you can't connect to an external monitor thru the dock.
